Well actually there is some logic behind legalizing marijuana. Admiral Thor can give you the whole run-down i'm really not into politics.

Thug Life: You are correct, Gary Johnson, the presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party supports the legalization of marijuana. Though he is a third party candidate and will not win.
I myself support legalizing marijuana, for several reasons: 1. It is far less harmful than alcohol. 2. It could be taxed to create another source of revenue for the government. 3. Legalizing it would reduce crime rates. 4. It would free up room in prisons for real criminals. 5. It would put drug cartels, who kill many innocent people, out of business. 6. Illegal drugs simply create more organized crime.

I oppose it. While it may create greater industry and lessen crime rates, nonetheless it is a sin. The Bible says that the body should be treated as a temple. Warmful substances like marijuana should not be allowed to enter the body. And it is just as dangerous as alcohol. Just because records show differently, doesn't mean that the effects do not change. In my view, anyone caught should be given life.

Mr. Pace: It is NOT even close to alcohol in it's danger level.
Next time you eat at McDonald's, ask yourself how much of a "temple" your body is.
And to say that someone should spend life in prison for possessing marijuana is simply absurd.

Newsflash: In the world, there is a whole lot of gray, it's not all black and white.
These aren't my opinions, they are facts. I only base my opinions on facts when they are available, you should do the same.

Facts. To me a drug is a drug and illegal is illegal. Black and White. Gray is left out of my equations. I only see in one direction. Once my mind is made it can't be changed. You know this.

You yourself have told me that you drink alcohol.
Alcohol used to be illegal as you know.
Legalizing it was a good move for several reasons.
Marijuana legalization would have similar benefits, plus it is a natural drug anyway.
Synthetic drugs are a different story, however I do not believe the government should have the right to tell citizens what they should put into their own bodies. End of story.

I told you that I drink wine. The bible says Jesus drank wine. The bible also says one must no get drunk from wine. Therefore drinking in moderation is acceptable but only for special occasions.

I doesn't matter if you think it is a sin, laws are not based upon what you think is right.
Marijuana harms only the person smoking it, no one else. It should be a personal choice alone.
Wine is an alcoholic beverage by the way.
Besides, you are breaking the law every time you drink it because you are under 21.

The law says that you can drink underage if granted permission by your guardian and you must be on private property. The Bible prohibits things against the law. The Bible teaches us that we must obey the laws of man.
Marijuana is a horrible influence on society. It may not directly harm individuals not smoking it, but for everyone that smokes it, it places critical harm on all surrounding civilians.

Tobacco is also far more harmful, and second hand smoking kills as well. Yet it is also legal.
Marijuana, once again is less harmful than tobacco. It should also, if legal, be regulated the same way as tobacco, so that people are aware of the harm that it does cause, however minimal it may be.

My believe is that neither should be legalized. We already have case of death with the already legal drugs, we don't need anymore. Personally if letting some die in the process is needed then by all means kill them.

So you think that the government making them legal would all of the sudden make more people do it? Maybe some, but most would not.
The government doesn't necessarily prevent use by making drugs illegal. They simply jail people for use or possession.
Illegal drugs create organized crime, which only leads to more murder and death.
Portugal decriminalized all drugs, and they have in turn seen decreased murder rates. Similar results could be seen anywhere they are tried.

What was and what is can never be changed. It always returns more deadly than before. Legalizing Marijuana is only the first phase of many atrocities to come.

What you have just stated is a logical fallacy, because you are assuming that it would lead to more. But you do not actually know that it would. Research the days of prohibition, read about all the crime and destruction and death it caused. Legalizing marijuana would save lives, and to not support it would be uniformed and ignorant simply.

I know that it will because it always does. History is a repeating cycle my friend and it will continue to repeat until judgement. Legalizing marijuana is just going to make us one step closer to a hell bound nation. As it is, we already have one foot in the grave. Let's not put another one.

I smoke tobacco, i drink alcohol, and i even smoke weed on occasion. Weed in my opinion and according to science has only 1 harmful affect upon the human body, as far as the chemicals affecting the mind, there is some truth the the psuedo-negative affects, loss of coordination, short term memory loss etc. However I haven't experienced nor seen a news cast stating someone crashed solely under the influence of marijuana alone. Nor have i see anyone losing their ability to reason under the influence of that substance alone. So among the positive properties yall have previously stated i stand for legalizing it for medical and recreational use. just medical use alone would not stop drug cartels, it's all the way or no way for that stand.

believe they should legalize it because for starters weed is no a drug its a herb and being a epileptic it can be used for more the relief of cancer pain i actually helps with my but the law doesn't see it as people may need maryjane which i believe 2 be bull****. Ii also goes great with PMS times "a joint a day keeps he cramp pains + crabby lady away" so yes i believe they should legalize it... ad odi i love ya but if weed wasn't meant 2 be used it wouldn't be out there for people to use. i feel the reason they wont legalise it is because oh tax reasons but idk may be just me.. i mean alcohol is dangerous 2 he human body but they don't make it illegal but alcohol is the #1 cause or deaths, car accidents, etc but we don't get in trouble for drinking :/ but idk i agree with thor and kody. the again its almost legal here in canada
