The Love of God
John 3:16 demonstrates just how much God loves us. He loves us so much that he gave his only son. God's love is an undying love. The perfect exhibition of agape love. It is God's desire that you obtain liberty. That you be made free. Free of the bondage of Hell. God loves us all equally. He has no respect for person. Throughout the course of the Bible, God demonstrates his love for us.
He demonstrates it with the several promises he has made to us. He shows His love by the many blessings He gives to us. Example. He woke you up this morning. He gave you a home to stay in. He gave you an automobile to drive. The list goes on and on. God is constantly exerting his love for us throughout our daily lives. We fail to acknowledge the small things in life such as having food and a place to stay. Or ever something so small as having a toothbrush and some toothpaste. God promised us the he will never leave us nor forsake us. It is his love that has made us free. God loves us so much that he gave his life. He loves us so much that he took a beating for us. God loves us so much that he took up the his cross and carried it atop a hill called Calvary. It is by this love that we can be called born again Christians. This love that God gives us is the Love that allows us to choose to get into Heaven. As John 3:16 says. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever shall believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. No Greater Love can be given to anyone, for this is the Greatest Display of Love.
The Gift of God
A Chinese proverb teaches us that in order to gain something you have to be taught. The Gift of God is not inherited, but it is taught so that you may know how to receive it and what to do after you have received it. The Chinese proverb says this “ Give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day, Teach a man to fish and you'll feed him for a lifetime” I come to tell you that that fish is the Gift of God. Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. You see, in order to obtain the gift of God, you must first be taught the gospel. What is the gospel some may ask? The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ. In other word, The Death, The Burial and The Resurrection. You have to be taught what it means to be born again. The says “ Let every man who hath and ear let him ear, but how can he hear lest there be a preacher”. You can read the Bible all you want and the only thing you will learn is how to contradict the Bible unless you have someone to teach you what it means. We had a Sunday school lesson about this thing here. Philip was in Samaria, and he was preaching the gospel and performing miracles in the land. Simon saw this, the things that Philip was doing. He began to covet the power the Philip had, so he began to practice sorcery, or witchcraft. He knew something was different. He could feel that something wasn't quite right. The miracles he performed didn't have the same effect as those upon which Philip had done. After the people of Samaria Believed and were baptized, They sent for the Apostles Peter and Thomas to come lay hands upon them so that they may receive the Holy Spirit. Simon saw this, and then he too craved that power yet again. He asked Peter if he could by that power from him. Peter said to him. You and your money will perish and you will never receive the gift of God lest you repent and turn from your wicked ways. Then again in another story. Philip was on his way to Ethiopia, when he saw an Ethiopian eunuch. The eunuch was in his carriage oh his way back to Ethiopia and he was reading the Word of God. The Spirit of God told Philip to get nearer to that carriage. He heard the man reading of the prophets, so he ask him do you know what you are reading? The eunuch said to him Yes, but I do not understand it. Perhaps you could explain it to me. Philip hopped aboard the carriage and he began to decipher the Word of God for the Ethiopian eunuch. The eunuch began to understand clearly. He asked Philip is he could be baptized. Philip said there is water, what is stopping you? This just goes to show that you must be taught the Word of God in order to receive the gift of God. You can't buy the gift of God. You'd sooner perish and go to Hell before you enter the Heavens. In fact, God said it is easier for you to stick a camel through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. All in all you must be taught the Gospel of Christ in order to get the Gift of God. Which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
The Promise of God
The promise of God. What is the promise of God? Considering, throughout the Bible, God has promised us several things, so how do we know exactly what the promise of God is? If we read 2 Timothy 1:1 again, we will see that God's promise is a the promise of life through Christ Jesus or God. But as I said God has promised us several things, but if you go back and look at all his promises, you will see that everything leads back to Jesus and the gift of life. God promised us that we could go to a paradise. A place where there is no sin. A promise of a new Heaven and a new earth. He promised us eternal life through Jesus. God has given us many chances to live with him in heaven. It not is nor was it ever desire to have us go to Hell. God has set the covenant, or promise, or contract. It is up to so to accept it and meet the terms. God blesses us all daily with showers upon showers of blessings. One of God's most basic promises is the Covenant of Destruction. God said that he would never flood the earth again, but next time with fire. God's promises can't be broken; and have no loop holes. You can't get past God. God knows everything that is going to happen. When God made these promises to us, he set in motion your ability to choose as you please. But with that free will, comes consequences. Good and Bad. You must choose which side you want to be on. God's side or Satan's side. There is no middle-ground or neutral zone. Know that depending entirely upon whom you choose determines your fate. Heaven scorned or Hell bound. It's your decision. God has layed out the deal, a deal upon which can not be broken. You just have to pick. God said in his Word that He'll never leave us nor forsake us. That sounds like a pretty good promise to me. And to know that God will always keep his promises is just more assurance. Make your Choice.
The Refuge of God
Seek refuge in God. God is here for you. Psalms 23 tells us just how God is a place of refuge. He is a guide to help you along the way. He is a shelter when you need a place to stay. He is a place of safe keeping. According to Psalms 31:2 The Lord is our Rock of Refuge. Then again in 2 Samuel 22:3 and Psalms 144:2 He is our Shield. Isaiah says he is Refuge from the storm, while Jeremiah called him the Resting Place. God is all these things and more for us, so why do we not choose to seek refuge in God? He's already promised us that he will never leave us nor forsake us, so why do we only come to God in times of trouble? We must humble ourselves before God. You see will alone is not strong enough to keep us close to God. That is why he provides hardships in our lives, so that we may humble ourselves before Him. According to Ephesians 6:10-18, we must take up the whole armor of God throughout the day, not pieces of the Armor. We have to put on the Helmet of Salvation. The living word or God that frames us in the right mind. The living word of God that allows us to live eternally. We have to put on the Breastplate of Righteousness, so that we may be able to live upright lives. So that we may be able to be a living testimony to God. We have to put on the Girdle of Truth, so that the light of God my shine through us. So that the word of God may be manifest in us. So that you may bear witness unto the Lord and glorify his Holy Name. We must put on the Sandals of Peace, so that we may be an arbitrator of the Lord. So that we can spread arbitration amongst the land. So that evil can not come against us. So that evil can not destroy our peace. We have to take up the Shield of Faith that protects us from the fiery darts of the wicked. The Shield of Faith protects us by faith in God, and by the Faith of God, and by the faith with God. The shield protects us from harm. It protects us from the lies of our enemies. It protects us from all mannerisms of evil that come to oppress our joy. It is protection against the forces of Satan. A shield upon which can not be slandered nor shattered. Lastly, you must take up thy blade, the Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Use this to cut down legions of Satan's fiends. Smite the throats of evil and pierce the hearts of the wicked. Make anew their souls. Attack the enemy's stronghold. Let them see the sword. All beings man and beast alike tremble before the sword of the Spirit of the living God. Use this, the sword of the Spirit, to ward off all who come against you. Parry their arrows and darts. Send back to them the radiance of the Light of God. Use this as a weapon of resolution. Take refuge in the full armor of God. In your word God you said that I will walk through the shadow of the valley of death and fear no evil because you would be with me. The Lord is the good shepherd, of us his sheep. He guards us from the fouls of the night. He is our shelter. Seek refuge in He that counsels us in our days of struggle. Our lives of stress. He is our counsel when we are stressed. When there is no one to talk to, no one to trust in. He is there. Take Ye Refuge in the Lord our God.
The Fear of God
Franklin Delano Roosevelt once said to the American people “ I say to you that we have nothing to fear but fear itself...” but I come to say that we as Christian followers of God have nothing to fear but God himself. Without the fear of God, nothing that you do will be acknowledged as righteous. The Lord God should be feared at all times. The Bible tells us the we must fear the Lord God at all time, for he is the creator of all things. Upon the hour of his judgment is His wrath greatest. You can not live a righteous life without the Fear of God. We must walk in the way of God. And it is only by the Fear of God that we can. To be a ruler, you must rule in the fear of God, so that you may be made an exceptionable leader. Leadership is an important asset to mankind. If you don't fear anything, then you have already failed the task of a leader, therefore losing the status of leader. Leaders must fear for the safety of their followers. What better to fear than God. Fear in God makes us strong. If we do not have some sort of fear then we failed to notice life. When one fears God, they have no need to fear anything else. Fear in God is fear in life, for God controls all life and all things thereof. We must fear God or we can not get into heaven. You have to fear God in order to receive any of the promises of God. Without fear of God you can do nothing.
The Salvation of God
Romans 10:9 says That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart, that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. With that said, let us began the journey of salvation. In time things come together for the knowledge where do I go when I die? How do I go? The choice is up to you where you go. God has laid out the format by which you must follow in order to achieve salvation, and the pastors, speakers, and friends that have come before you have taught you the way. Romans 10:8 says that the journey of salvation is a far as from the heart to the mouth, but some things are not always as easy as they may seem. It is imperative that you gather an understanding of all things said rather that one. Life in itself is filled with mysteries. More so than we can even imagine, or life to find out, but while we are here let us gather an understanding of those things that lead us to salvation. Sure the journey from the heart to the mouth is short, but the obstacles are many. Life's purpose is to serve God and to make it into heaven, and in doing so, we must endure and overcome each obstacle set before by and by until the heart and the mind/mouth are one. That is that salvation of God. The merging of love, belief, fear, confession, and will. Lest these five things come together and act as one, you will never see the Kingdom of God.
The ultimate resolve in God is to seek the love of God by understanding, the gift of God by love, the promise of God by faith, the refuge of God, by his promises, the fear of God by the gifts and the salvation of God through it all.
Thank You
